This Weekend: Wicker Park Fest Returns
Written by Vocalo Radio on July 20, 2022
Enjoy live music, local food and drinks in Wicker Park this weekend.
Wicker Park Fest, one of Chicago’s biggest and most anticipated street festivals, returns for its 18th year this Friday, Saturday and Sunday to take over Milwaukee Avenue, from Damen Avenue to Paulina Street with three full days of art and music.
A “music-first” festival, Wicker Park Festival organizers partnered with neighborhood venue Subterranean to curate a lineup of more than 40 artists and musicians like Nnamdï, Matt Muse, Bumbac Joe, Lester Rey and many more for festival-goers to enjoy.
The festival also boasts more than 80 local restaurants, vendors and artisans, and is sponsored by Chicago brewery Goose Island Beer Co.
Donations will be accepted at the gate to support Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce, and any money spent in the festival’s “Kids Fest” area directly supports Jonathan Burr Elementary School. Check the official Wicker Park Fest website for more information about the festival, which will run from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, July 22 and from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24.
