The Reel Critic Talks This Week’s Box Office, Captain Marvel, and Five Feet Apart

Reggie Ponder is The Morning AMp’s Senior Film Correspondent and is in studio this week to discuss which movies were winners at last weekend’s box office, and which new releases are worth leaving the house for.

On this week’s Critic for a Minute, Reggie “The Reel Critic” Ponder and Jill Hopkins talk about Captain Marvel–a movie that is dominating the box office, and the first female lead Marvel outing. The real question is how does it compare to Wonder Woman, the trailblazing film from D.C. Comics and Warner Bros.

Reggie also reviews the new teen-romance movie “Five Feet Apart,” which stars Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson as teenagers with cystic fibrosis. This is also the directorial debut of Justin Baldoni, who stars in the hit show “Jane the Virgin.”
