The Morning AMp Breaks Down Mayoral Election Results with Triibe’s Tiffany Walden

Chicago municipal elections took place on February 26th and the results were nothing but historic. Two Black women came in as the front runners in the race to become the next Mayor. Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle will face each other in a run off on Tuesday, April 2nd, and one will become the first Black female Mayor of Chicago. Tiffany Walden of Chicago media platform The Triibe joined Jill Hopkins on the AMp to discuss the voting results for each of 14 Mayoral candidates across the city’s Wards, as well as what challenges each of the two front runners will face leading up to the run off.
