The Reel Critic Reviews ‘A Man Called Otto’
Written by Vocalo Radio on January 20, 2023
This week, Reggie Ponder reviews a new drama-comedy starring Tom Hanks, A Man Called Otto.
A Man Called Otto is based on The New York Times Bestseller, A Man Called Ove by the Swedish author Fredrik Backman. In the film, directed by Mark Forster, Hanks plays Otto, a man struggling to cope with the passing of his wife of 40 years. After attempting to kill himself, a new light in his life arrives when a new family moves in next door.
The Reel Critic says that the couple “inject themselves into his life, challenging him to look at life differently”. For more of Reggie’s insight, check out his review above.
