Mike McGee October 29, 2019
Listen in as Mike McGee, our senior tech correspondent, and Jill Hopkins discuss the latest in tech news.
First, the two discuss Uber Money, which is Uber’s latest attempt to expand into financial services. The group will oversee everything from the company’s credit and debit card offerings, to digital wallets for riders, to drivers getting paid in a timely manner.
Next, Facebook employees are urging Mark Zuckerberg to rethink his stance on allowing politicians to lie in political ads. In an open letter to company executives obtained by The New York Times, more than 250 people said the policy — which exempts such ads from Facebook’s third-party fact-checking standards — threatens what the company stands for.
Lastly, the two discuss the coming of AirPods Pro with noise cancellation, out October 30th.
