Emily King talks new album and the new freedom she found in Catskills while making it

Emily King wants you to stop and smell the “Scenery.” That’s the title of her new album, the anxiously awaited follow-up to the 2015 “The Switch.” The native New Yorker took to the Catskills mountains to explore this chapter of her artistic story and, in the process, discovered new freedoms and possibilities in her creativity and lifestyle. Jill Hopkins spoke with the acclaimed Indie Pop / R&B singer about how these new experiences informed the new album.
