“We are the only culture where its not okay to get help.”

After being sexually abused, Stephanie Covington Armstrong coped with her internal conflicts through bulimia. Now she has recovered from her eating disorder, and wrote a memoir “Not All Black Girls Know How To Eat” in order to share her experience with others.

In this interview with Shantell, she discussed her personal experience and how it fits into African-American culture, plus where to go if someone is struggling with the same problems.
