The Return of the Red Stars: Is Women's Pro Soccer Finally Here to Stay?

Chicago sports fans, pay attention: The Red Stars are back! General Manager Alyse Lahue may have promised Brian Babylon a shot at the national anthem and Molly Adams is thinking about trying out for the team.

The NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) is the third iteration of women’s professional soccer in the US. This time, they’re hoping to stick around as stars from the US, Canadian and Mexican national teams join college draft picks and free agents for a spring and summer season. Chicago Red Stars GM Alyse Lahue discusses the league’s future, prepping for the coming season and open try-outs on March 5 with hosts Molly Adams and Brian Babylon. Single game tickets for the Red Stars go on sale Thursday, Feb. 27 at 10 am.
