Hemmingbirds on Live From Studio 10

From a solo project conceived by singer / guitarist / violist Yoo Soo Kim, Hemmingbirds has evolved into a full-fledged indie pop band. On their latest standout release, The Vines of Age, they combine soulful melodies, dynamic arrangements and thoughtful lyricism to create an album of infectious songs.

Live From Studio 10 airs every Wednesday at 8pm CST on Vocalo 90.7 FM (CHI) / 89.5 FM (NWI) and Vocalo.org, and features emerging local bands and music artists (with the occasional national act stopping by). In this episode: WBEZ ‘s Aurora Aguilar joined Vocalo’s Molly Adams and Brian Babylon to share her report on Preppers: a segment on the gun owner population that believe doomsday is coming and that guns are the most important tool in preparing for the end of civilization.
