In this episode: First, we kick off the show with a great conversation with a broadcasting legend, Walter Jacobson. Luis and Shantell talked with Jacobson about his long-standing career in media and the stories he recounts in his memoir “Walter’s Perspective: A Memoir of Fifty Years in Chicago TV News. Find out what it was like to play catch with Jackie Robinson and how Walter got his first byline by getting naked at an Indiana nudist colony.

Then, we’ll listen to an intimate story that comes from, Story Lab, one of Chicago’s storytelling events. Dana Norris, founder of “Story Lab” shares an intimate story about an unexpected pregnancy that ends with an unexpected result.

Later, a conversation with Chicago MC Mikkey Halsted. Through his music, Mikkey vividly describes his experiences growing up in Chicago. The accounts are both eye opening and alarming and always delivered with superior lyricism.

And finally, we close things out with an awesome set from Vocalo Dj collective member Trancid.
