Also, with two EPs under their belt, Chicago’s Minor Characters have been making their rounds in this city and beyond, infusing their retro-pop sound with pensive lyrics and subdued minor chord melodies. The band joined Jesse Menendez for an interview as well as a live performance.

Later, a conversation with Chicago MC Mikkey Halsted. Through his music, Mikkey vividly describes his experiences growing up in Chicago. The accounts are both eye opening and alarming and always delivered with superior lyricism.
And finally, we close things out with an awesome set from Vocalo Dj collective member Trancid.
