Have you ever has someone ask you this in a bar? "So, what's your story?" Or, "What's your deal?" It's like they're trying to boil you down to some sort of essence. Or they just want to know what you do for a living. Or that's what you think they mean, or that's the easiest default response, when maybe how you make your living is the least interesting thing about you. It's hard to answer these types of questions succintly, I find, without sounding canned. Or confused. But I'm always interested in the stories we tell about ourselves...how we explain our lives to others. So, I'll throw it out there: what's your story? What do you want people to know about your life?
