The Rundown
Seems like a lot of folk have been talking about God around here lately, so Brian and I check out GodTalk and add our two cents. Also, Brian explains his UFO theory of religion and we let the children explain his favorite Bible story, Noah's Ark. Brian, Amber, and I also check out one of the most outrageous crank calls ever to break up a relationship and speaking of, Spentcattle explains why the Penis Is a Genius, Lord of the Yum Yum sings, and we hear an aquarium dream from a listener who called it in on our message line: 1 888 635 1112.
For an in-studio treat, we get an exclusive performance from Jus' Love of Daily Lyrical Product (though his friends call him Lamar) and his manager/big sister, Nikki Tucker. We'll play some studio recordings the rap duo did for us, along with a few great acoustic duos Lamar treated us with right then and there, along with a powerful poem he wrote about his missing father. We discovered DLP thru Young Chicago Authors, and we hear from one of their colleagues on a spoken word piece called Cropped. Daily Lyrical Product is just breaking into the Chicago music scene; we talk with an established veteran who tells us the truth about artists getting on the radio (those other radio stations, of course-- it's easy for you to get on Vocalo!)
