When and how did you mom not act like a mom and blow your mind and shock you?
AnalyticalDiva:
Hmmm.. When I came home from prom in high school. My mom was uber strict -- but instead of freaking out, she had breakfast and my pajamas waiting and wanted to hear everything like we were girlfriends. That's when I realized how much my mom ROCKS.
bigfella:
I've always seen my mom keep her composure but a few times meaning not more than 5 she got really upset and swore...didn't sound right...it was probably not even in the right place...but when she swore it was like whoa...did you hear mama she real mad...I gues because she was what we would call a Holy Roller...certain things she just didn't do
Annie:
My mom called the Vocalo hotline the other day, and told a story about kicking Bill Murray out of her house. Apparently dude was wacked out on drugs. I'm like, "Mom, what were you doing hangin with people with drugs!" Moms aren't even supposed to know about that kind of stuff.
LorrellK:
Recently my mother and father (divorced since I was 2 months old) have started...."seeing" each other again. And for some reason my mother thinks that I want to engage in a conversation about this with her. I told her I'd rather burn my ears and eyes off. My older brother is of the same mindset. Eww.
The Listener:
I was a Chicago firefighter from 1980-1991. Joe is wrong on some things, right on others. You should put him in touch with me.
Roxanne Weber:
One day on the phone my mother started telling me about my father's need for Viagra. She insisted that I shouldn't care whether sex is available in a relationship and wanted me to tell her how I felt about that. I said "Mom, your sex life is YOURs and my sex life is MINE, let's keep it that way." How sick! I don't need to hear about this stuff.
