The Rundown
It's all about rail and music this morning.
7:45 We talk to Street Wise Vendor Roger on the corner of Wacker and Washington. He talks about sleeping in a warehouse shelter with 250 men, being treated like a prisoner in shelters, why he would never sleep in a doorway, and his new business buying Street Wise for 75 cents a copy and selling it for 2 dollars.
9:00 Jeff Hill found a lizard on a crate that came from South Carolina. The lizard looked dead, but came to life. He and his co-workers made a habitat for it and are feeding it live spiders from the warehouse. Customers are coming in to see the lizard.
9:15 Streetwise director of distribution Greg Pritchett talks about busting the stereotypes of homeless people.
9:45 A member of the Indiana High Speed Rail Association talks about the value of high speed rail to the region.
