Senator James T. Meeks has proposed that parents of Chicago Public School students refrain from sending their kids to school on the first day of classes.  Instead they will go out to one of the richest, primarily caucasian high schools in the state and attempt to register.  What is he trying to prove?  How does this sit with you?

Shantell: First time caller and first time emailing in.. I went to New Trier... I understand the concept of what the Senator is trying to convey. There are two worlds ... those who have those who don't simple as that So why is it that at New Trier that the average student gets money from the state totally around 15 thousand dollars per student Where in the City it is only maybe 4 thousand per student maybe even lower than that.. If all schools in the state had the same opportunities..financially it would not be a problem HOWEVER it will then turn into a black and white thang.. Which will never turn out good for anyone...
