Their magazine celebrates plans to turn flat bed scanners into cameras and digital cameras into robots. Maker Faire has drawn 65,000 to a festival that is part art, part handyman's special. They are part of a movement that celebrates thowing out our throw-away society and learning to Do It Yourself.
The Chicago Comedy TV Pilot Competition starts Thursday evening. We'll talk to the organizers, who match local filmmakers with TV execs.
