Passion And Peril

It's been such an exciting year producing my "Aha! moments" for :Vocalo and seeing them get on so many playlists. My "Write of Passage" piece was about writing a mystery novel in grade school, then throwing it away in shame once I got to high school and learned all the "rules" of writing.

So this month I pulled another novel from the edge of the trash heap -- a thriller I wrote in the 1990s, which takes place mostly in Pakistan and China (after I traveled through the region in 1992). I decided to skip the mainstream publisher grovelling and went right for Amazon's print-on-demand facility at Createspace. What a lightning fast world we live in -- within a week of uploading my files my book was for sale at amazon.com. You can check it out at PassionAndPeril.com.

It's really a trashy vacation read, I decided -- but also decided I should have fun doing this and not take myself so seriously all the time. Oh, and "cosmorochester" = Susan Barrett Price, the real me!

Thanks to all the deejays at :Vocalo who kept me inspired and believing in myself this year!!!
