What’s Vocalo.org?
Vocalo.org is a website and broadcast outlet dedicated to helping people get on air. Our Host Producers collaborate with people on-line and in local neighborhoods to help them promote their stories, viewpoints and creative work. Tune into our broadcast at 89.5 WBEW-FM or listen to the web-stream at www.vocalo.org.
What Does an At Home Producer (AHP) Do?
Listens carefully to an hour of the Vocalo.org broadcast and calls in every 20 minutes to give feedback on air (see INSTRUCTIONS below).
What’s In It for Me?
You get to be on air and talk to thousands.
You get to talk back to your radio for real.
You get to contribute your ideas and help shape the broadcast.
You get the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping a darn good cause: extremely public radio.
What’s The Minimum Time Commitment?
One hour. Of course you can commit to more than that if you want.
How Do I Sign Up?
Go to www.vocalo.org and create a Vocalo.org profile. While you’re there listen to the AHP examples (See Above)

INSTRUCTIONS
Okay, once you’re all signed up, you’ve scheduled your hour or hours with Vanessa and your time to At Home Produce is at hand…
Tune in 89.5 FM on your radio or stream Vocalo.org, Listen Carefully and Take Notes.
20 minutes after the hour, 40 minutes after the hour and at the end of the hour, as you hear Vocalo.org air promos or a tune, phone 888-635-1112 and press 3.
They’ll put you on air. You’ll have up to three minutes to address the below:
Give a super brief recap of what you heard over the past 20 minutes
What resonated and why?
What, if anything, was confusing, hard to follow, or left hanging?
What seemed incorrect or seemed in need of further investigation?
What did you learn?
Do you have a question or provocative comment for the Shout Box or guest?
