I enjoy snails, mushrooms, lawn gnomes, and sock monkeys. On a more practical note, I am a reader, a visual artist, a radio listener, and a writer. I spend a lot of my time with my foot in my mouth, and enjoy using words such as "snazzy" and "nifty".

Who’s at fault in the tragic drowning death of three North Lawndale College Prep Students? Is this a case of kids being kids and paying the ultimate price? Or did the adults in charge fail to do their duty?

the kids were responsible. they snuck out without the chaperones knowing and decided to go boating in the middle of the night without realizing that the paddle boat had its plugged removed for the winter
they were teenagers who took a risk with their lives. im sure they knew that there was a possibility that something could go wrong. which is why they had to sneak out
i read about this in the paper yesterday. i need more info. does anyone know if the kids were wearing life preservers? i'm guessing it's the fault of the kids if they were given life preservers and took them off, and the fault of the paddle boat rental company or the highschool teachers if no life preservers were issued.
