Foul Hook - Fishing Lesson
Foul Hook: My Fishing Lesson

This is a true story -- from back when I discovered there were actually game fish in the stream that wound behind the neighborhood strip malls and car dealerships. Magic behind the mundane. I was new to fishing but bound for glory. Yet somehow the lessons I learned were never about fish.

nice work.
I want to go fishin!
Nice!! The first time I went Steeelheading it changed my life for many years. I went to the Root River in Racine Wisco. in 1995. I went to the Orvis shop on Mich. ave and they recamended some flies, weighted line, advice, and off I went. I thought I got snagged on a rock and wadded to the middle of the river(3-4 feet deep) and started yanking up and down on the line as I slid my foot over to kick the rock. The steelhead shot up stream until almost all of my line was gone. It was a a hog about 32-34 inches. They had my picture with the fish up at the orvis for about 9 months. I still dream about that fish.
Great story. Funny how fish invade our dreams, even when (as in my case) you can't catch them.
I love the music and your expressions ('foul hook, m-m-mm') in this piece! Awesome stuff. Stay tuned to Vocalo.org because you will hear this soon. Cheers-navraaz
