This is Abbie Hoffman, singing and relating his experience during the Chicago 10 trial. Hoffman was an activist and one of the leaders of the Yippies, or Youth International Party. The leaders (Hoffman included) were put on trial after their demonstrations erupted into a (literally) riotous affair during the 1968 Democratic National Convention. the whole world was watching.
