About the illustration: The above picture is a real ad from a German UNICEF campaign. The Copy reads:
“I’m waiting for my last day in school, the children in africa still for their first one.”
This campaign is “blackfacing“ white children with mud to pose as “africans“. The german kids appeal for solidarity with their contemporaries in Africa. Is this the same thing, or is it totally different?
