Katz Company is a collaborative music group based out of Chicago by way of Virginia.  These foul-mouthed youngsters, led by songwriter Alex Katz specialize in what they’ve dubbed “Variety Pop”; a mix of Pop, Rock, Hip Hop, and R&B characterized by witty lyrics about one-night stands, weed, love, and everything in between. With strong, distinctive vocals, courtesy of Katz, and a rotating cast of supporting musicians, it's safe to say that no other band on the scene sounds quite like Katz Company. Think Ben Folds meets Third Eye Blind with the bombast of OK GO and the swagger of The Rolling Stones. Add in electronic beats and the occasional hip-hop verse, wait 40 minutes while it bakes, and you have Katz Company!

I am California native who currently resides in Avondale IL. Attending Columbia College for Music Business.

Im a student at DePaul University. I am a member of the 'Curious Sophisticate' at DePaul Radio which is a Sunday morning news program. Coming up I have another new show that should debut in autumn. I will be traveling to Belgium in January to study and intern with the EU. With Vocalo, I am hoping to do audio, twitter-esque updates via my mobile. These updates will hopefully be filled with stuff going down on the streets; car crashes, fights, cool things, and the general beat of the street. So much to say, so little space...I'm always on the move, don't remember the last time I got to watch prime time TV. I work full time as a drug counselor, getting my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, and work at my internship site in the evenings. My social life is non-existant, but I am definitely never bored.
