I have chosen to live in Chicago most of my life. I love it's music, lakefront, museums, and food. My daughter went to Jazzfest when she was 3 weeks old. We wanted her to get used to the idea of outdoor music fests because we attend most of them. My husband and I enjoy dancing to the blues and under the stars at Summerdance as often as possible. I like to laugh. I also love to travel. I have climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and trekked in Nepal. I really enjoy meeting people in faraway places and learning about them and their culture.

I am a social worker and an author. I wrote a book called Riding the Infertility Roller Coaster: A Guide to Educate and Inspire. I am proud to say it won 3 major awards including best book of the year. I am very interested in working with people who have struggled with infertility. I have done counseling, workshops, and written articles to help people with this struggle. I also collaborated on an award winning book called A Book is Born. It was written to help people who are trying to get published learn all they need to to make their publishing dream come true. My belief is if you give people information they can use to face the challenges in front of them they feel less isolated and become empowered. This helps them feel more in control in terms of meeting these challenges. You may have guessed by reading this I am into advocacy. It works.
